The last try was almost literally a walk in. None of the Blues players were more than jogging. Pasifika must have been seriously fatigued by that point.

So Blues played an “away” game at Eden Park? 😅 Na dude you can’t hide from that. That’s brutal.

Super Rugby as a competition is still stuck in the 2000s. How is that the competition has never evolved from a product perspective? Everything seems half hearted. That’s because for a long time and up untill this day, it’s nothing but a prolonged national selection trial. Not a competition in its own right. What should be more concerning is that Super Rugby is not only competing with rival sports in Australasia. In this digital age where people can watch anything at a click of a button, Super Rugby is being weighted against the best of the best. For instance, suppose you watched the glitz and glamour of the NBA, the bright lights of the NFL, the passion and excitement of the Premier League etc then tuned into Super Rugby. You wouldn’t even bother because it doesn’t inspire like those other comps. Even the NRL has been copying the NFL and it has benefitted from doing that. So what’s the deal with Super Rugby?

Not the result most would want from MP. But I think looking at the long game, having them in the comp is good for NZ, Oz and the Pacific Island nations overall.

Blues looking strong in the regular season but will choke like in 2022, they’ve already been dropped off by the Canes!
