Absolutely gutted Japan are out. They have inspired a nation as well as every neutral in rugby. One of the best RWC I’ve watched so far.

Most exciting Rugby match in the past decade for me, easily. Crazy match and at half time it really was anyone’s game to win. Old guard really had to give it everything to beat the new challengers. Amazing match and I think we are all looking forward to seeing what changes in the future of International rugby for Japan now that they have proven they are Tier 1 quality.

Thanks for watching! It’s with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Japan, but we have an immense semi-final to look forward to! Which game are you most excited about?

Sad for Japan but not too sad, they are ranked above the Wallabies now. I never saw that coming as an Aussie.

JAPAN should not be heartbroken they did so much. They should be happy and proud. Imagine if the S.A soccer team performed like Japan, We’d make a public holiday in their honour. Keep your heads up and Keep it up, Japan.

The most inspiring thing about this RWC tournament is seeing fans from all over the world just enjoying the Rugby all mixed up together both off pitch and in the crowds … never see that in soccer where the fans have to be kept apart to prevent violence.

So sad to see Japan knocked out but they gave it everything right to the last moment. All respect goes to the Blossoms for getting this far. They have inspired the whole nation.

Congratulations to SA good luck against Wales.

A breath of fresh air: Japan played like a Barbarian side a joy to watch , you won’t win a world cup like that but it was beautiful to see. 🏉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿♥️

If anyone ever calls a Japan win an ‘upset’ ever again, you have the moral right to rugby tackle them to the ground and shout ‘Leitch’. For me Japan are absolutely tier 1 now.

I wish we didn’t have to play out against Japan! I really think they deserved to go through as well.

The Japanese games were the only games that I got emotionally involved in where the Boks (my team) didn’t play.

Congratulations Boks! Complete defeat of Japan who couldn’t have neither time nor place nor power before Boks.
Japan must have lerned much from this match to grow more. Thank you, Boks!

Elma, you are a true class act and you’ve helped represent so well the amazing spirit of this world cup, of the Japanese embrace of rugby and of the place in our collective hearts that the rugby world has developed for Japan! Much respect for your wearing your heart on your sleeve in this fashion. Superb stuff all around on the Rugby World Cup Daily!
