This was expected from a new team that has never played super rugby before, but Drua put in a good effort and could have scored 2 tries if it wasn’t for basic mistakes and indiscipline, but they must take care of little things like lineouts, defence, standing flat, positional playing, erratic running, ball hogging and emotional outbursts if they want good results in the next games ahead

People should understand that any new team to an established competition will never overpower the rest…just like jaguares took 2-4 years to reach a final….atleast the drua did show some promise through the game

it’s gonna be similar to the sunwolves in Super Rugby – overpowered to start but competitive by the end – hopefully this is more temporary than the sunwolves

As a Drua supporter, thank you Australia for supporting Fiji Rugby👍🏽 Good to see the Tahs reset. Very proud of the Drua’s second half performance. We learn from failure, not success.

The Drua was a huge ocean-sailing double-hulled canoe…..
The beginning of the voyage is always the toughest.

A lot of people commenting on here had their expectations a little too high for the Fijian Drua in this their FIRST EVER SR GAME 🤷🏾‍♂️ this was a chance for the management to have a look at the Drua, areas of the game where they need to work hard on an (hopefully) improve especially at a high level competition. I for one did not expect them to win at all, if they did would’ve been a bonus. They did well in some areas, but there’s still a whole lot to work on. Sky’s the limit boys, take it 💯🇫🇯👏🏾💪🏾💯

I have never liked the idea of teams just kicking for the corner and rolling the maul across the line for a try. Nothing legal the defending side can do. Also you can’t tell me that there isn’t obstruction and offside play involved

Poor by Berry to not call advantage at that ruck around the 56/57 min mark.

‘Tahs already well clear on the board. But he’s well off his feet while competing, and it’s his cheating that forces the ball to spill out and Drua to end up playing it under pressure. It creates the situation that leads to an interception score, when it should have been a free play under advantage because of how obviously illegal the jackaller was.

Referees can’t just ignore stuff like that because one of the teams has tried to play on. If the scoreboard had been tighter then Berry’s incompetence could have decided that match.

So great to see more countries being represented at this club level – can only be good for rugby as a whole going forward!

Drua need to be competitive at the set pieces, work on their defense assignments and discipline. Great to see Meli there
